Plot

As the tedium of academia beckons his graduating classmates, skateboard enthusiast Eric Rivers and his tight-knit crew of friends, the ambitious Dustin and the nonchalant Matt, decide to seize their last summer before college by embarking on an adventure-fueled road trip. Their quest: to break into the professional skateboarding arena and secure a paycheck for their passion. Their plan: to wow skateboarding legend Jimmy Wilson with their audacious tricks during his skate demo tour, banking on an instant sign-up to his illustrious skate team. However, their dreams of recognition are momentarily dashed when Jimmy's road manager acts as gatekeeper, barring them from showcasing their skills to the skate idol. Undeterred, they receive some priceless advice - stay true, keep skating, and never quit the game. If they're good enough, they'll eventually be spotted. Inspired, Eric, Dustin, and Matt form their own skate team, reluctantly financed by Dustin's college fund. They rope in the easygoing ladies' man, Sweet Lou, to their ensemble, his contribution being the wheels for their journey. Together, they form Team Super Duper, setting off on a wild road trip from Chicago to Santa Monica. The professional world proves less than welcoming to these underdogs of the skate scene, but their unyielding bond keeps them grinding through a series of outlandish escapades. On their path to professional glory, they encounter renowned vert-skating champions like Bucky Lasek, Bob Burnquist, and Pierre Luc Gagnon, skate pro Bam Margera and his crew, and the captivating skate aficionado, Jamie. As they perform daring grinds on handrails across America, they compel the world of skateboarding to give them a slice of the action. Their journey becomes a testament to friendship, perseverance, and the pursuit of dreams against all odds.
