Plot

In a world where owning a home symbolizes stability and success, Pil-gi, a diligent engineer by day and a special service taxi driver by night, has toiled relentlessly for a decade, fueled by his deceased father's dying wish: "You must have a house of your own." The haunting echo of this decree has driven Pil-gi to the edge of exhaustion, but when he finally purchases a house, he proudly proclaims to his father's spirit, "Dad, I bought a house, it's all mine!" However, his joyous victory takes a sinister turn as he discovers that he isn't the sole proprietor of his newly-acquired home. An unseen presence, a spectral squatter, lays claim to the house, manipulating inanimate objects to launch bone-chilling attacks. From a seemingly innocuous couch transforming into an instrument of terror, to a kitchen knife taking on a life of its own, Pil-gi finds himself in a chilling nightmare. The spectral onslaught escalates when an image of an actor eerily emerges from his TV screen, issuing a chilling warning for him to vacate the premises. Thrown into a vortex of disbelief and terror, Pil-gi's hard-earned dream house morphs into a haunted fortress, forcing him to seek refuge in a motel. But he's not one to surrender so easily. Fueled by the same determination that drove him to buy the house, he resolves to combat the ghostly intruder. But things take an unexpected turn when, during a thunderous exorcism, he is struck by lightning and glimpses the apparition of a young woman who met an untimely death. Ghost House entwines the thrill of horror with a heartfelt narrative, exploring the lengths a man will go to fulfill a promise, protect his dream, and uncover the truth that lurks within his own walls.
