In the heartland of Whiskey Flats, Oregon, the Hoax Busters, renowned for their tenacious pursuit of internet fabrications, embark on a weekend retreat designed to fortify their team's bonds. Guided by Craig Eubanks, a domineering outdoorsman with a knack for authoritative wisdom, they anticipate a confidence-boosting experience through his company, Rocks and Roots. However, unbeknownst to them, a conflict is brewing in the tranquil wilderness. An aggressive drilling company, empowered by the Federal Government, stakes their claim on a secluded territory - home to a reclusive family who has resided there off the grid for over three decades. As the drillers ruthlessly encroach upon the family's sanctuary, the stage is set for a confrontation that could shatter the peace of Whiskey Flats.
