In a world teetering on the brink of chaos, we meet Sonny (Steven Chase) and Archie (James Duval), top-notch Mafia hitmen working under the iron fist of their 300-pound, cigar-loving Mob Boss, 'Ma' (Felissa Rose). Their daily grind of extortion and occasional assassinations is disrupted by news of a comet hurtling towards Earth. Amidst the global panic and media sensationalism, Sonny finds himself contemplating a different life, one filled with marriage, children, and retirement in the sun-kissed vineyards of Italy, alongside his lifelong confidant, Archie. However, they are well aware of the ruthlessness of their boss, Ma, who would not hesitate to eliminate them once their usefulness expires. In a city ruled by the wealthy elite, a plan is hatched to safeguard their riches in mountain mines outside the city, transporting the wealth in a convoy. Both Ma and her rival, Barry Ling (Clint Jung) of the Chinese Mafia, set their sights on the convoy. Sonny and Archie see this as the perfect opportunity to make their dreams come true. In a daring plot, they plan to intercept the convoy, rid themselves of Ma, and secure their early retirement. Parallelly, Federal Agents Bean (Dean McDermott) and his boss, Agent Tracey (Martin Kove), see a golden opportunity to apprehend Ma and Ling while also padding their pockets. They dub their sting operation "Garlic and Gunpowder," using former Mafia moll, Evvy (Judy Tenuta), as bait. Even the city's Mayor Brown (Vivica A. Fox) has her fingers in the pie, making for a complex web of plans and double-crosses. As the comet draws nearer, the question remains - who will succeed in this high-stakes game of greed and survival? Will Sonny and Archie find their happily ever after in Italy, or will the comet spell the end for all?
