Plot

In the untouched heart of a primordial forest, a routine surveillance mission takes an unexpected turn for an injured park ranger. She stumbles upon two survivalists, a young boy and his enigmatic father, who live a post-apocalyptic existence, their lives woven deeply into the forest's ancient tapestry. As they save her from the wilderness, she is drawn into their world, one that is as captivating as it is unnerving. Their peculiar lifestyle and profound reverence for nature start to unravel, revealing a cult-like devotion to the forest. This philosophy seems to be their religion, their lifeline, and the essence of their survival. But beneath the surface of their forest reverence, there are many oddities that raise suspicion. The ranger's skepticism grows, but the true nature of their existence takes a chilling turn when their cabin is besieged by bizarre, post-human entities under the cloak of night. Here, in the midst of this emergent wilderness, she discovers that the forest holds threats far greater than she could have ever imagined. The survivalists' relationship with nature is not just a matter of faith, but a dangerous liaison with a world evolving beyond human comprehension. The movie 'Gaia' unravels a thrilling narrative that takes us deep into the mysteries of nature, survival, and the unsettling possibilities of a post-human world.
