From the tender ages of childhood, Sophie and Jessica were bound by a promise, etched in blood and fear, when they bore witness to an unspeakable crime. Jessica, the older sibling, pledged her life to safeguarding Sophie, a vow that would spiral into a haunting obsession as the years rolled by. Now in her late twenties, Jessica is trapped in a world clouded by paranoia, where every shadow conceals a threat to her and Sophie. Meanwhile, Sophie, two years Jessica's junior, yearns for a life free from the shackles of fear. She dreams of the serene melodies of a pianist's life and the sweet flutter of romance. However, her dreams are abruptly shattered when the architects of their childhood trauma are set free after two decades behind bars.
