Plot
Meet Paolo Coniglio, whose surname fittingly translates to "rabbit" in Italian. A hapless writer for a comic book publisher, Paolo is the constant butt of jokes for his boss and future mother-in-law. His mundane life is only brightened by his vivid, often comical, daydreams where he is the gallant hero, and Dalia, a stunning character from the comics he translates, is his leading lady. His dreamland adventures see him embodying iconic figures from literature and comics including Parsifal, Superman, and Tarzan. Yet each return to reality becomes increasingly jarring.
One day, Paolo's dreams seemingly bleed into reality when he encounters a blonde beauty who is the spitting image of his beloved Dalia while shopping. She unwittingly drags him into a murky plot, thrusting a box of chocolates into his hands. These aren't ordinary chocolates, though. Hidden within is a microfilm that holds damning evidence against Fonseca, a seemingly respectable figure leading a double life as a ruthless underworld boss.
Suddenly, Paolo finds himself the focal point of Fonseca's wrath and entangled in a dangerous game of cat and mouse. He must protect not only himself but also the real-life incarnation of his fantasy Dalia, who has now been kidnapped. Will Paolo manage to outsmart Fonseca and save his damsel, or will he find himself wishing he'd stayed within the safe confines of his daydreams?
