In the isolated expanse of a Scottish fishing hamlet, Aaron, a young societal misfit, is shackled by the weight of a bizarre maritime catastrophe that swallowed the lives of five men, his elder brother among them. This grim accident has marooned Aaron on an island of blame and suspicion, with the villagers' sea-weathered folklore and local superstitions casting him as the architect of this calamity, transforming him into a pariah within his own clan.
