Five Star (2002)

In the heart of their college days, five inseparable friends - Prabhu, Ilango, Sundar, Priya, and Indra - pledge an enduring bond, vowing to sustain their camaraderie regardless of the paths their lives take. Life smiles at their promise as they secure employment at the same firm, maintaining their tight-knit connection. However, Ilango, under the iron fist of his imperious father, is abruptly pulled back to his quaint village and coerced into a marriage with the charming Eeswari. Ilango vanishes, leaving his friends under the impression he's enjoying marital bliss in Bombay. As the years wane, the remaining four uphold their pact, sharing not only a workplace but a home. A chance encounter on a train introduces Prabhu to Eeswari, and he finds himself falling for her, oblivious to her identity as Ilango's wife. The truth unfurls, weaving Eeswari into the tapestry of their friendship. Bound by their loyalty to Ilango, they collectively make a pact - to unearth their long-lost friend and orchestrate a reunion, knitting their circle whole once more.
