Plot

When an international team of astronauts lands on the moon, a discovery stuns the world - an aged British flag and a declaration stating the moon belongs to Queen Victoria. This perplexing find suggests these modern spacefarers were not, in fact, the first men on the moon. Back on Earth, an inquiry unearths the last living member of the Victorian lunar crew, the elderly Arnold Bedford. Diving into the annals of time, Bedford unravels an extraordinary tale from 1899. He, along with his fiancée Katherine Callender, were the unsuspected neighbors of the eccentric inventor Joseph Cavor. Entrusted with an incredible secret, they learn of Cavor's groundbreaking creation - 'Cavorite', an astounding substance capable of nullifying gravity. With this miraculous paste, Cavor has constructed a spherical vessel, an orb of wonder destined for the lunar landscape. Enticed by the allure of the unknown, Arnold and an unwitting Katherine accompany Cavor on an unprecedented journey to the moon. Their arrival incites amazement as they stumble upon a realm buzzing with an insect-like alien species. These lunar inhabitants exhibit a disconcertingly keen interest in their terrestrial guests, turning their lunar adventure into an encounter of the most extraordinary kind. In this imaginative adaptation of the H.G. Wells story, "First Men in the Moon" presents a unique twist on mankind's lunar exploration, blending Victorian ingenuity with otherworldly encounters.
