Plot

In the vast cosmic theatre, God and Satan conduct a bitter battle for dominion over earth, wagering on the soul of the devoted alchemist, Faust. Overwhelmed by the relentless plague and the grim spectre of death, Faust, once a beacon of scientific wisdom and spiritual dedication, spirals into despair, consigning his cherished books to the flames. In this moment of weakness, Satan dispatches Mephisto, a cunning envoy, to tempt Faust. First, he tantalizes him with the promise of a cure to the plague, and then, a fleeting return to the vigor of youth. Mephisto's treachery lies not only in the temptation, but the timing - the witching hour of Faust's rejuvenation coincides with his enthrallment by the radiant Duchess of Parma. Surrendering to the siren call of youth, Faust perilously trades his soul. Later, the novelty of youth fades, and ennui sets in. On a fateful Easter Sunday, Faust commands Mephisto to transport him home. There, his gaze falls upon the enchanting Gretchen, and love blossoms, but this liaison taints Gretchen's honor. With stakes high and souls in the balance, the question looms: Can there be redemption? Who will emerge victorious in this divine gamble?
