Plot

In the heart of a bustling city, Abel, a compassionate therapist, navigates the complex labyrinth of his clients' struggles with weight. His roster includes individuals grappling with both their physical enormity and the emotional burden of their obesity. Enrique, a formerly svelte spokesman for a weight loss product, grapples with the irony of his regained weight and a tumultuous journey of self-discovery as he explores his sexuality through an unexpected romance with Pilar, his business partner's wife, despite having identified as gay. Sofia, engaged to devout Christian Alex, battles against his chastity and her unmet desires. As she successfully rekindles Alex's sexual drive, her weight loss journey unveils an unforeseen obstacle - Alex's preference for plus-sized women. Leonor seeks solace in food while loneliness gnaws at her during her boyfriend's absence in the States. Andres, a scientist, his wife Beatriz, and their daughter form an overweight trio, standing in stark contrast with their slim son. As Abel steers his clients towards healthier lifestyles and brighter futures, he must face his own prejudices when his wife, Paula, begins to expand with their unborn child. Through the lens of these intertwined lives, 'Fat People' unravels the intricate tapestry of body image, sexuality, and self-discovery.
