All emotions have been banished in the wake of a war that nearly destroyed the world. By some metrics, the world that exists now is a utopia. Equality is ubiquitous, but so is conformity — and peace comes at the sake of individuality. Among these stifling circumstances, people begin falling in love again. The ability to feel emotions seems to be associated with a sickness, and the return of emotion brings friction to a society unequipped to handle it. Treated as outcasts, these newly emotive humans could hold the key to moving society forward, or they could bring it to destruction.
