In the bustling heart of Hong Kong, the enigmatic Aunt Mei, a retired gynecologist turned cook, has carved a niche for herself with her unique home-made dumplings. These aren't ordinary dumplings; they're renowned for their rejuvenating properties, crafted from an ancient recipe with a mysterious ingredient sourced directly from mainland China. Among Aunt Mei's clientele is the former TV sensation, Mrs. Li, who is desperately trying to rekindle her fading youth and win back the wandering eyes of her philandering executive husband, Mr. Li. As Mrs. Li partakes in Aunt Mei's culinary sessions, she learns about Mei's past as a gynecologist in China, where she performed over 30,000 abortions in a decade. Growing impatient with the slow pace of her transformation, Mrs. Li pleads for a quicker solution. The answer arrives in the form of a troubled fifteen-year-old girl, pregnant from an incestuous relationship, who turns to Mei for help. The path to rejuvenation suddenly takes a dark turn, revealing that the "miracle dumplings" might have a more unsettling ingredient than Mrs. Li could ever fathom.
