Plot

When Dr. Watson's affable friend, Julian 'Stinky' Emery, a zealous collector of exquisite music boxes, pays a visit to Sherlock Holmes, he presents a peculiar tale that piques the detective's interest. Emery recounts an uncanny burglary at his residence the previous night where, despite owning a vast trove of costly music boxes, the thief absconded with just a simple wooden music box acquired at a recent auction for a humble £2. As Holmes and Watson delve into the mystery, they discover that the stolen piece was one of three identical boxes sold at the auction. The plot thickens when they learn that the pursuit of these seemingly ordinary boxes has driven someone to the extremes of violence and murder. Holmes, with his astute reasoning, ties the clues to the music box maker, leading him to believe that these boxes hold a secret far more valuable than their surface value. This secret, a hidden treasure that the government has shrouded from the public eye, is encoded in the melody of the music boxes. 'Dressed to Kill' is a riveting tale of intrigue and deception, where nothing is as it seems, and even the simplest objects can conceal a deadly secret.
