In the wake of his distant father's demise, Nick Simon, a man tethered to his mundane existence, finds himself drawn back to his childhood home to sift through the remnants of a life left behind. Amid the clutter of his father's possessions, he stumbles upon an appraiser, Angie, as they unwittingly awaken an ancient Sumerian doomsday device cloaked in mystery - a long-lost artifact of unimaginable power. As they grapple with their discovery, the device is snatched away, setting off a chain reaction of cataclysmic natural disasters.
