Doggone Tired (1949)

As the moon claims the sky, a seasoned hunter and his eager canine, Speedy, descend upon the Happy Hunting Lodge. The instant the car door swings open, Speedy bolts out, his nose leading him straight to a rabbit burrow. His paws become a flurry of dust and desperation as he digs, barks, and points, driven by primal instinct. But his master steps in, tugging him back - "Patience, Speedy," he consoles, ushering the dog into their rustic cabin. "At dawn's break, we shall conquer that bunny." However, unbeknownst to them, the rabbit overhears their plan, his heart pounding with dread. Creeping up to the cabin's door, the rabbit eavesdrops on the rest of the conversation. "Remember, Speedy," the hunter's voice echoes, "Only a good night's sleep will give you the edge to outpace that rabbit." Suddenly, an ingenious plan dawns on the terrified rabbit. He would turn the hunter's advice on its head. He resolves to ensure that Speedy doesn't get a wink of sleep - not even a fleeting moment of rest. And so, the nocturnal game of cunning and survival begins.
