In the heart of bustling San Francisco, Madison Brandson, a brilliant yet underappreciated accountant, finds herself returning to her long-lost passion for event management. When her best friends Lorri and Ben, forming an inseparable trio akin to the Three Musketeers, announce their engagement, they entrust Madison with the task of crafting a uniquely special and adventurous wedding for them - a ceremony that deviates from the traditional norms as much as it encapsulates their love.
Madison's search for the perfect venue leads her to the stunning Bayvista Winery situated on the picturesque Waiheke Island, New Zealand. The winery's charming manager, David Westhaven, presents an irresistible all-inclusive wedding package, set to take place in a mere eleven days. Captivated by the online presentation and enticed by the time-sensitive promotional rate, Madison finds herself drawn to the opportunity.
Upon reaching the island, Madison is struck by the venue's beauty, exceeding even the vibrant online portrayal. However, the pre-planned wedding event is far from Lorri and Ben's desired unconventional ceremony, a fact Madison strives to hide from the soon-to-be wed couple. Unbeknownst to Madison, they are to replace David and his ex-girlfriend Lisa's wedding, the first that was supposed to take place at the winery as a part of David's business expansion plan, a plan that did not sit well with Leon Symonds, David's vintner.
With the vendors already secured and the event deadline looming, Madison and David embark on a frantic mission to reshape the event to reflect Lorri and Ben's unique tastes. As they navigate through the challenges, Madison questions her decision to choose the safe career path of accounting over her passion for event management. Simultaneously, she finds her heart being pulled towards David, a feeling that seems to be reciprocated. Amidst the whirlwind of planning and unexpected emotions, Madison and David must confront the potential hurdles their blossoming romance might face - the geographical distance and the lingering presence of Lisa, David's ex-girlfriend who continues to be a part of his life on the quaint island.
