In the year 2100, earth has been forsaken by mankind, leaving only a community of flamboyant creatures dwelling in the ocean's profoundest abyss. Deep, the last of his kind, is a brave 'dumbo' octopus who shares his life with his two loyal friends: Evo, an awkward angler fish with a nerdy charm, and Alice, a deep-sea shrimp plagued by neurotic tendencies. Their tranquil existence is shattered when a disastrous accident ruins their home, compelling the guardian of the abyss, The Kraken, to dispatch Deep and his companions on a treacherous quest for a fresh sanctuary. Along the way, the trio is joined by Maura, a ravenous moray eel with a mysterious past.
