Date with Love (2016)

In the bustling suburban milieu of Arlington Heights, Illinois, David Rogers, a senior at J.W. Hughes High School, is an obscure figure far removed from the popular crowd. Despite this, he harbors audacious aspirations of being thrust into the limelight before the final curtain of graduation falls. With his pool of potential prom dates depleted, most of whom barely recognize his existence, David concocts a daring plan - to prom-pose to his beloved Hollywood crush, Alex Allen, through a captivating video. The words of his English teacher, Vincent Walsh, stolen from a published poetry book, become the magic wand that grants him his wish. Unknown to David, however, it's Alex's publicist and friend, Paige Sumner, who orchestrates this unlikely pairing, aiming to refurbish Alex's tarnished image after a scandalous red carpet incident. This fiasco not only led to a bitter breakup with her leading man and lover, Colin Hartling, but also resulted in Alex being shunned by film producers. As he steps into the glitz and glamour of Alex's world, David finds unexpected allies in his spirited little sister Devyn, who could easily double as a publicist, and his lifelong pal, Heidi Watts. Yet, Heidi hides her own heartache, being the only girl David overlooked for prom. As prom night looms, Alex unearths a blossoming attraction for the unsuspecting Mr. Walsh, her potential knight in shining armor. But with hidden agendas and unspoken emotions at play, the road to prom becomes a maze, with the possibility of Alex and Vincent's budding romance thrown into jeopardy.
