Plot

In the sun-soaked world of coastal high school life, Luke Harris (Justin Schwan) breathes the salty air of ambition, his heart set on the cresting waves of professional surfing. Alongside his party-loving best friend, Casey (Angel Cruz), the duo's life revolves around the rhythm of the tides and the thrill of the party. Yet, the echo of maturity and responsibility beckons in the form of Luke's parents (Raquel Gardner and Greg Carlson), who envisage a college education as their son's primary pursuit. When a coveted position on the local surf squad appears, Luke sees it as his golden opportunity to ride the wave to professional surfing, convincing his parents of his potential and evading the looming shadow of higher education. But the path to his dream is not smooth sailing. A formidable challenge emerges in the new surf enthusiast in town, Matt (Andy Shephard), who shares a similar thirst for the open team spot. Complicating matters further is Luke's father's unwavering insistence on prioritizing academics over surfing. Amidst this storm of youthful rebellion and parental expectations, a heart-rending tragedy strikes, compelling Luke to reassess his life's direction. Guided by the compassionate Emily (Kelsey Sanders), a luminous 'church-girl', and his insightful Youth Pastor (Danny Smith), Luke embarks on a journey of self-discovery. Through his experiences, he learns the profound lesson that life's worth extends beyond the thrill of riding the perfect wave.
