Cuban Fury (2014)

In the midst of the 1987 salsa frenzy, a 13-year-old dynamo dancer lit the floor on fire with his electrifying moves, preparing to conquer the UK Junior Salsa Championships. However, a cruel bullying incident in the harsh London streets shatters his confidence, derailing his path from the world of dance. Fast forward to 22 years later, we find Bruce Garrett (Nick Frost), once a promising dancer, now an overweight, unloved man, caught in a whirlwind of self-loathing, reclusion, and an unhealthy obsession with Nando's take-outs. The only beacon of light in his life is his new American boss, Julia (Rashida Jones) - smart, witty, breathtakingly beautiful. Yet, she seems unattainable, her radiant smile and flawless life seemingly far beyond Bruce's reach. Unbeknownst to him, though, Julia battles her own demons and harbors a clandestine passion. Moreover, there's the office lothario, Drew (Chris O'Dowd), who openly expresses his lascivious intentions towards Julia, forcing Bruce to spring into action. Thus begins Bruce's journey of confronting his deepest, darkest fears, reigniting the dancer within him. With the unwavering support of his devoted sister Sam (Olivia Colman), Bruce must summon his dormant fury, unleash his imprisoned dance spirit, and fight for the woman he adores. All this, he must do where he once ruled - The Dance Floor...
