In the pulsating heart of New York Harbor, on the secluded Governors Island, a storm of unprecedented chaos is about to strike. Kevin Lennihan, a silver-tongued con artist, finds himself ensnared in a web of his own deceit. Falsely accused of a high-stakes jewel smuggling operation, he artfully dodges the hook of justice by conjuring an insanity plea. This clever ruse lands him not in a prison cell but in the sterile halls of a mental health hospital for a comprehensive evaluation. As the night descends, so does a tempest, cutting off the hospital's lifeline - electricity. In the ensuing pandemonium, amidst flickering shadows and rising panic, a case of mistaken identity thrusts Kevin into an unexpected role.
