Dr. Harry Wolper, an eccentric yet brilliant scientist, lures the unsuspecting new student assistant, Boris, into his world of unconventional research with the enticement of a co-ed's phone number. Amid the confusion of his colleagues, who fail to see beyond the immediate horizon, Harry pilfers cutting-edge technology for his own ambitious project. Harry harbors a grand plan – to resurrect his deceased wife through the power of cloning. The only elements missing are an egg and a willing host. In his unique fashion, Harry embarks on his quest by attaching notices to every telephone pole in town using his trusty bicycle, leading him to cross paths with the intriguing Mili. As the year unfolds, he witnesses Boris' love life mirroring his own from a quarter-century ago.
