In the tranquil South of France, Joe Martin, an unassuming American, navigates a serene existence. Under a new identity, he has traded his turbulent past for the calm waters of his fishing-boat business, catering to vacationing tourists. He relishes the simplicity of his life with his beloved wife Fabienne and their twelve-year-old daughter, Michèle. However, the quiet man harbors a secret: a decade ago, he was known as Moran, a fugitive who escaped alongside four other convicts, including the merciless ex-mercenary Katanga. One fateful night, echoes of his former life resurface in the form of Captain Ross, Katanga, Whitey, and Fausto - his former associates who have now reappeared with vengeance in their eyes. They bear the scars of a murder that occurred back in Germany, a crime for which they were left to shoulder the blame. Having witnessed Katanga's brutal killing of an M.P., Joe had deserted them, fleeing with their getaway car, and now they seek retribution.
