Plot

In the quaint confines of a small Washington town, teenager Christina, her innocent younger brother Bobby, and their father James Tarling find themselves in a rented house, seeking proximity to Christina's mother Joanne, a resident in a local asylum. Their new home, a structure echoing with the sounds of ongoing repair work by Howie Rhodes, holds more than what meets the eye. Despite her blossoming relationship with the town's notorious bad boy, Eddy Duncan, Christina feels an unsettling presence, a whispering suspicion that they might not be the only occupants of this house. Yet, her father simply dismisses her fears, attributing them to the creaks and groans of the settling structure. However, the small town tranquility is shattered when two teenagers mysteriously vanish, their last known location chillingly close to the Tarling residence. The enigmatic Sheriff Mark Sklar, with his air of unsettling calm, pays a visit to the Tarlings, his eyes filled with unspoken questions. The discovery of a lifeless body in a river nearby only intensifies the investigation, compelling the sheriff to probe deeper into the secrets nesting within the Tarling domicile. The plot thickens, drawing viewers into a whirlpool of mystery and suspense, where the guilty lurks in the shadows, waiting to be unearthed.
