Avery Paul is a man adrift, a former professional boxer whose career was shattered by a wrongful conviction for smuggling. Stripped of his boxing license, he wanders through life, laboring on the Halifax docks and supplementing his meager income through illicit street fights broadcast on the internet. In the midst of this gloomy existence, a ray of hope emerges in the form of Ava, a woman who stumbles upon one of his online brawls. Ava is in desperate need of Avery's physical prowess and his ability to navigate the dark underbelly of society.
