Accompanied by his father-like friend, Virgil Blessing, Beau is en route to Phoenix, Arizona, to participate in the prestigious Phoenix World Rodeo Championship. This trip, only his second venture off the ranch, brings an unexpected turn in Beau's life. In the heart of Phoenix, Beau's eyes fall on the mesmerizing Chérie, an enchanting performer at the Blue Dragon Café. Chérie, an unpolished diamond from River Gulch, Arkansas, has dreams far beyond the café's stage; she aspires to the glitz and glamour of Hollywood.
