Plot

In the wake of the tragic demise of Sarah Keaton, who bravely battled cancer, her survivors grapple with the gaping void she leaves behind. Among them, her devoted husband, Tom Keaton, a masterful executive chef and restaurateur, and their young son, Oscar, just eight years of age. The conclusion of the Keatons' marital journey was fraught with turmoil, not only due to the relentless disease but also because of their clashing perspectives on treatment, and the misplaced hope stemming from an initially positive prognosis. Tom, in his profound grief, spirals into a vortex of reckless, irresponsible, and enraged behavior. His coping mechanism takes the form of casual liaisons with a string of partners, each one as inconsequential as the last. His actions cast long shadows on Sarah's sister, Karen, who finds herself compelled to step into the role of the responsible adult, especially as innocent Oscar frequently becomes a casualty of Tom's waywardness. Amidst this chaos, the Keatons' friends and colleagues strive to extend their support to Tom, including Miriam, a therapist who is connected more through a friend than directly. The path to healing is strewn with emotional landmines for Tom, and by extension, Oscar. They must navigate their way through immense pain, hoping to emerge from their grief intact. The question remains: will Tom manage to pull through before his recklessness invites disaster?
