In the swinging year of 1968, the quaint town of Appleton, Wisconsin gave birth to a one-hit wonder rock band called Bucky and the Squirrels. Their foot-tapping dance number, 'Do the Squirrel,' had just begun to reverberate through radio speakers across the country when tragedy struck. On their inaugural promotional tour, the band's plane mysteriously vanished over the Swiss Alps, leaving nothing but an echoing silence and a chart-topping hit. Fast forward half a century, and the world is about to groove to their beat once again. The plane, lost in the icy grip of the Swiss mountains, is unearthed with a startling discovery - the Squirrels, preserved in a chilly tableau, frozen yet alive. Swiftly transferred to a state-of-the-art cryonics lab, they are thawed, ushering the band members back into a world vastly different from their heyday. As they grapple with modern life and the struggle to reclaim their former glory, a new challenge emerges - the formidable IRS. Accused of owing fifty years of back taxes, the Squirrels find themselves in a legal crunch. The only way to elude the cold bars of prison is by proving their financial worth, essentially convincing the government of their capability to perform and charm audiences just like old times. It's a tall order, especially when the harsh reality hits: they're not the same band anymore. "Bucky and the Squirrels" is a comical plunge into a time-frozen tale of music, misadventure, and a desperate quest for redemption.
