Plot
In a desperate bid to shield his son from the alluring vices of gambling, alcohol, women, and late-night escapades, Jack's father sends him on a life-altering journey, with Ossie as his companion. Unbeknownst to him, Ossie is equally steeped in these indulgences. Their expedition to California becomes an odyssey of distractions, with Jack pausing at every turn for a fleeting romance. Amidst the rustic charm of a southwestern eatery, they cross paths with the intriguing character, Poncho. Every encounter with Poncho pushes Ossie to the brink of conflict, adding an element of danger to their journey.
Upon their arrival in the sun-kissed city of Pasadena, the duo meet the enchanting Connie, her vivacious cousin Penny, and their delightful Aunt Polly. As the days roll by, Jack, entranced by Connie's charm, proposes, and she accepts. But in a twist of fate, Mabel, Jack's spurned fiancée from the bustling city of New York, suddenly appears, promising to turn their California dream into a complicated web of love and betrayal.
