In the depths of disillusionment, Caroline finds herself prematurely stepping away from her fulfilling career as a dentist. Her life has become a facade, her grown daughters and husband provide a semblance of support, but in reality, they are engrossed in their own worlds, no longer recognizing the vibrant woman she once was. Their obliviousness paints a stark contrast to the person Caroline is yearning to be. Fate intervenes when Caroline, in an attempt to break free from the monotony, enrolls in a computer class. There, she crosses paths with her significantly younger lecturer who stirs in her a sense of awakening. She is drawn towards his youthful energy, a stark contrast to the dull routine of her marriage.
