Plot

In the heart of Paris, a shadowy menace known as Bluebeard prowls, his grim appetite for young women sending chilling waves of terror through the city. Amidst this dread, Lucille and her friends cross paths with the enigmatic Gaston Morrell, a captivating puppeteer. Lured by his intriguing artistry, they find themselves attending his performance the following night. The puppet show concludes, and Gaston finds himself drawn to Lucille, her offer to create costumes for his next performance sparking a connection between them. As their relationship deepens, Lucille begins to sense a sorrowful past hidden behind Gaston's charismatic facade. Concurrently, Gaston's attention towards Lucille fuels the jealousy of Renee, his intermittent lover, adding a bitter twist to the unfolding tale. Francine, Lucille's younger sister, returns to Paris, bringing with her Inspector Lefebre, her boyfriend and the relentless hunter pursuing Bluebeard's elusive trail. As the investigation intensifies, suspicious clues point towards Lamart, a rapacious art dealer. With danger lurking in unexpected corners and trust hanging by a fragile thread, the question arises - who is truly at risk, and can Gaston Morrell be trusted? The path ahead is fraught with tension and uncertainty, as each character is ensnared in a deadly dance with destiny.
