Plot

Under the luminescent glow of a Blue Moon, can a love story find its timeless crescendo? Secluded within a quiet abode in Boston, Massachusetts, an aged Filipina, Corazon, pens a love letter. Aware of her dwindling twilight, she reaches out to every Manuel Pineda from the Philippine directory, revealing herself as his long-lost paramour. Meanwhile, in the Philippines, an elderly Manuel Pineda grapples with a terminal cancer diagnosis. He decides to embark on a final quest: to find his lost love, Corazon, who he hasn't seen in countless seasons. The film "Blue Moon" tracks Manuel's relentless pursuit across the Philippine landscape, with his emotionally aloof son Rod and his recently estranged grandson Kyle in tow. As they traverse the archipelago, Rod and Kyle unearth a startling revelation. There were two women named Corazon who had stolen Manuel's heart: a spirited maiden who ignited his first love in 1938, and a devoted nurse he wed following World War II. The narrative oscillates between past and present, contrasting the blossoming romance of a youthful Manuel with the two Corazons against the ticking clock of the ailing Manuel's desperate search in the present. But the question remains, which Corazon has eternally captivated Manuel's heart, and will he reunite with his beloved before the final curtain call? This is the poignant journey of "Blue Moon," a tale of love, loss, and longing.
