Plot

Amidst the pulsating heartbeat of late 1960s mod London, Thomas, a coveted fashion photographer, navigates his path through a world drenched in fashion, pop music, hedonism, and marijuana. However, beneath the surface of this life of excess, he finds himself grappling with an undercurrent of boredom and despair, weary of the superficiality that accompanies his profession. In an attempt to break free from the monotony of his studio, Thomas embarks on a personal project, a book teeming with the darker shades of human life. His subject matter finds him lurking in the shadows of a flophouse, secretly capturing the raw, unrefined portraits of its inhabitants. Yet, it is during a seemingly ordinary day in a park that his life takes an unexpected turn. Through the lens of his camera, he spies a May-September couple locked in an intimate moment. Drawn to their mystery, he surreptitiously captures their affection, intending to use these pictures as the final touch to his book. The woman, however, spots him and demands the film, fearing the complications it might bring to her already tangled life. In a twist of events, Thomas hands her a decoy roll while keeping the original. Upon developing the pictures, he stumbles upon a chilling revelation hidden in the backdrop of the shots. As he delves deeper, enlarging the images, he uncovers disturbing details that suggest he may have unwittingly documented a heinous crime – possibly an attempted murder or even a murder itself. Now, Thomas stands on the precipice of a thrilling quest, a journey to reconcile his perception with reality. The photographs, once a simple collection for his book, turn into a complex puzzle, prompting him to question the stark difference between what he perceives and the truth that lies beyond his lens. His world, once defined by fashion and frivolity, is now overshadowed by suspicion, intrigue, and a looming sense of dread.
