Everyone loves Bernie, the undertaker in a rural Texas town. No one particularly likes Marjorie, a rich widow. Somehow, the two become fast friends, but even Bernie eventually gets fed up with her unreasonable demands. He must find a way to extricate himself from this increasingly abusive dynamic, but it won't be easy.
