Plot

In the tranquil heart of Ascension, Washington, nestled against the formidable Mount Lincoln, an ominous chain of events begins to unfurl. Thomas Walsh, a hardworking constructor, is confronted by a series of unnerving tremors that result in the tragic death of one of his team members. Meanwhile, his sister Grace Walsh ventures into the wilderness of the mountain with her lover, Jerrod Dietrich, unaware of the rising menace. Their father, William Walsh, a man seen as an eccentric by the town, fervently insists that an ancient entity, prophesied to bring about global destruction, is on the brink of its awakening. Simultaneously, the once serene town becomes the epicenter of mysterious geological readings sparking an influx of experts. Emily Allington, a young and ambitious geologist, returns to her hometown to probe the enigmatic tremors that have gripped Ascension. Her path intersects with that of Thomas Walsh, her former flame, adding a layer of complexity to the already tense situation. As theories rooted in ancient Mayan beliefs begin to emerge, the arrival of army representative Jack Murray adds another dimension to the unfolding mystery. He is on a covert mission to recover a lost wallet of inexplicable importance, believed to be somewhere on Mount Lincoln. As the tremors escalate, the town of Ascension is thrust into a world of escalating terror. The secret behind the tremors and the fate of the town's inhabitants lies buried deep within the mountain, waiting to be unearthed. Could the prophecy be true? Could the mythical Behemoth, the mother of all monsters, be stirring beneath Mount Lincoln? The once peaceful town of Ascension is now on the edge of chaos, as it grapples with the possibility of an impending catastrophe.
