Basket Case 2 (1990)

In the mesmerizing sequel to the original BASKET CASE, directed by the enigmatic Frank Henenlotter, we find ourselves plunged back into the lives of the unique Bradley brothers, Duane and Belial. Having survived a terrifying plunge from their hotel suite, the brothers find themselves the center of attention in a city hospital, their hitherto concealed existence now splashed across the media. Just as their lives seem to spiral into an uncontrollable circus, a glimmer of hope emerges in the form of Duane's long-lost Aunt, the enigmatic Granny Ruth. Alongside her pregnant daughter Susan, she masterfully orchestrates their escape from the overbearing public eye and the cold hospital walls. Granny Ruth's mansion, a sanctuary for the grotesquely deformed and misunderstood, becomes their new home. However, their solace is short-lived. The relentless media, always hungry for a scandal, encroaches on their haven. It falls to Duane, Belial, Susan, Granny Ruth, and their eclectic family of misfits to formulate a plan. A plan designed to permanently shield them from the prying eyes of exploitative reporters. In BASKET CASE 2, the extraordinary becomes the norm, and the grotesque becomes the beautiful, as we root for this unlikely band of heroes in their quest for peace.
