In a realm ruled by the benevolent King Randolph, a cloud of concern looms. The king, a widower, worries that his vivacious daughter, Princess Genevieve, along with her eleven equally spirited sisters, are in dire need of a maternal influence to guide them down the path of proper etiquette and grace. Determined to mold them into refined young ladies, Randolph seeks assistance from his impoverished cousin, Duchess Rowena. This enchanted world, where impossibilities become reality, becomes their secret refuge. However, their joy is short-lived when an unexpected calamity befalls their beloved father.
