Bacterium (2006)

In the chilling depths of an abandoned fortress, a cluster of unsuspecting friends cross paths with the monstrous aftermath of a biological weaponry experiment turned disastrously awry. They encounter a deranged scientist, who chillingly prophesies the cessation of all life on Earth within 48 hours if the rapidly mutating bacterial menace cannot be tamed. As the vile, flesh-devouring epidemic leaps from host to host, reducing each to a seething mass of infectious slime, it begins to proliferate and grow in monstrous proportions. Enter a clandestine military unit, dispatched to quell the outbreak and annihilate the organism. However, they uncover the full horror of the creeping mutation too late for conventional warfare. The situation calls for desperate measures if there's to be any hope for a sole survivor to stand firm, intact, against the onslaught.
