Plot

In the bustling city of Toronto, Ben Reddick finds himself teetering on the precipice of a promising career at Boomer magazine. When his boss Victor hands him the reins of a cover story, Ben is propelled into the world of telephone dating - an assignment chosen by Victor to safeguard Ben's seemingly stable marriage to his wife, Sarah. However, beneath the façade, their union is steeped more in physical attraction than emotional depth, mirroring the pattern of Ben's past relationships. As Ben and Sarah navigate the labyrinthine task of hunting for a larger apartment, they also contemplate expanding their family, complete with the warmth of a furry companion. Their idyllic domestic vision, however, begins to blur when Ben's professional and personal lives start spiraling into an intricate dance. The line between his work and his heart blurs as he conducts his telephone dates, an overlap that becomes increasingly significant when he makes a profound emotional connection with a mysterious date who introduces herself as Celine. Caught in a whirlwind of emotions, Ben, who has always honoured his commitment to Sarah, finds himself at a crossroads. His burgeoning feelings for Celine are a stark contrast to his usual attraction-based relationships. Now, he must grapple with a crucial decision: to meet Celine and risk everything, or remain in the comfort of his current life. The dilemma deepens as he wonders if his feelings for Celine will withstand the test if he finds himself not physically attracted to her - a factor that has previously been the cornerstone of all his relationships.
