Plot

In the heart of a quaint Bosnian town, 30-year-old Goran leads a life of uneventful comfort, untouched by the war that has ravaged his friends' lives. A carefree existence fueled by his inherited wealth and punctuated by bouts of boozing with his war-scarred companions is all he knows. However, Goran's idle routine shatters when a drunken dispute claims the lives of his friends. Left alone, Goran makes a radical decision: he auctions off his worldly possessions and embarks on an unforgettable venture. He roams from town to town, transforming into a wandering bartender, serving free drinks for as long as his newfound fortune allows. He issues himself a challenge: not a single drop of alcohol shall pass his lips throughout the journey. However, his benevolent endeavour is met with suspicion. The sign promising "All for Free" brews distrust and hostility among the locals. But as he proves his integrity, the hostility melts away, making room for a warm welcome in the next town. His reputation precedes him as he travels across the small country, and he becomes a symbol of altruism. A few weeks into his journey, Goran encounters a girl who captures his heart, and he succumbs to the allure of love and alcohol. This deviation from his self-imposed rules ruffles the feathers of the local bar owner, and Goran finds himself battered and banished. Forced to pause his journey, Goran retreats to a motel, nursing his wounds and drowning his sorrows. A little healthier but emotionally drained, Goran uses the last of his money to venture to the final town, concluding his extraordinary journey that began with a tragedy and was marked by unanticipated turns. The tale of Goran's journey is a poignant exploration of grief, redemption, and the transformative power of generosity.
