Plot

As if swept by the whims of a dream, Alice (Fiona Fullerton) finds herself lifted from a serene riverside, where she sits with her sisters, and plunged into the curious depths of a rabbit hole. This descent marks her arrival into a surreal dreamscape, a magical world that defies reality, brimming with bewildering adventures and a myriad of eccentric characters. In this kaleidoscopic realm known as Wonderland, Alice embarks on a quest for self-discovery. Her journey is not without its peculiar encounters. She crosses paths with a fretful White Rabbit (Michael Crawford), a whimsical March Hare (Peter Sellers), a boisterous Dormouse (Dudley Moore), and the imposing Queen of Hearts (Dame Flora Robson), each adding their own shade to Alice's technicolour tapestry of experiences. Amongst the chaotic charm of Wonderland, Alice's voyage is punctuated by melodious interludes, such as the moving song "The Me I Never Knew". This dream-turned-adventure becomes a labyrinthine search for a way back home, forcing Alice to navigate through the enigmatic eccentricities of this realm, while simultaneously unravelling the layers of her own identity. As she steps further into Wonderland, Alice's reality blurs with the dream, leaving spectators captivated by her extraordinary journey in this enchanting adaptation of Lewis Carroll's beloved tale.
