Plot

In the aftermath of a devastating car crash that stole his older brother's life, ten-year-old Adam finds himself swallowed by an abyss of guilt and loneliness. His family, immersed in their shared grief, seems distant and detached, leaving Adam to navigate his fractured world alone. However, the bleak monotony of his life takes an unexpected turn when he encounters Abulele. Abulele, a creature of ancient legend and fearsome size, is said to be a monster. Lore paints them as dangerous beasts, yet the reality is much more enchanting. Abulele, contrary to the frightening tales, is a creature of kindness and playful spirit. This unlikely friendship becomes Adam's most guarded secret and his only solace in a world that's lost its color. Together, they outwit Adam's stern schoolteacher and stand against the classroom bullies, bringing a touch of magic and mischief to Adam's otherwise somber existence. Yet, Adam's parents, sensing their son's secretive behavior, grow increasingly suspicious. The situation escalates when a government Special Forces unit, known as "Thunder", arrives with a mission—to capture Abulele. As Adam's secret world threatens to unravel, he must embark on a daring journey to save his newfound friend and get Abulele back to its family. In doing so, he must confront his past, learning the profound lesson that true love never leaves us alone. Abulele is more than a tale of friendship—it's a testament to the healing power of unconditional love, even in the face of unimaginable loss.
