A Father's Nightmare (2018)

In the heart of college life, Lisa, a freshman gymnast with high hopes, finds an unexpected roommate in Vanessa, an intriguing and worldly older student, instead of a fellow gymnast she anticipated. As they form a bond, Lisa finds herself drawn into Vanessa's manipulative web, used as a pawn against her own teammates and subtly stripped of her self-assurance. Vanessa, in her sinister charm, cultivates an unhealthy emotional dependency within Lisa. Meanwhile, Lisa's father Matt, though distanced, senses an ominous shift in the wind. Lisa's behaviour takes a nosedive into the realm of the erratic, especially when Vanessa introduces her to a dangerous concoction of "performance-enhancing" prescription drugs. Blocked by the college's administration, Matt takes the reins, determined to unearth Vanessa's true identity. As Vanessa's manipulations push Lisa to the edge, teetering on the precipice of suicide after facing a drug test and looming expulsion, Matt stumbles upon a shocking revelation. Confronted by a ghost from his own past, Matt is forced to face his demons in an urgent race to rescue his daughter from the snare of Vanessa's malevolent orchestrations.
