Plot

Once a Wall Street high-flyer, Kevin Finn finds himself caught in a whirlpool of self-loathing and despair, culminating in a botched suicide attempt. Hoping to rediscover his purpose and mend his fractured soul, Kevin retreats to his quaint hometown of Taylor, Texas, finding solace in the company of his pragmatic, widowed twin sister Amy Cabrera, a respected aeronautical engineer, and her teenage daughter, Reese. Though their reunion is far from joyful, given Kevin's past apathy towards their grief. Soon after his arrival, Kevin's life takes an uncanny turn when he is visited by Yvette, an invisible guardian only he can perceive. Yvette imparts a divine revelation: Kevin is the last of thirty-six righteous souls of his generation, a secret he is forbidden to share. Under Yvette's watchful eye, Kevin is entrusted with a celestial quest: to identify and consecrate the thirty-five successors by offering assistance to those in need, guided by the cosmic whispers of the universe. Each successful act of kindness would provide a visionary clue to the whereabouts of the successors. But Kevin's self-centric nature and his reluctance to aid those who seem more self-absorbed than him pose significant obstacles. His newfound, peculiar behavior only compounds the challenges, raising eyebrows among his loved ones, particularly Amy, who fears he is still grappling with his suicidal thoughts. As Kevin treads this unusual path, Yvette and her celestial companions are left to unravel the mystery of the missing thirty-five and the reason behind Kevin's miraculous reprieve.
