Gilmore Girls (2000)

Lorelai had her daughter Rory when she was just a teenager, so it's not too great of a surprise that they communicate better than a lot of mothers and daughters. With Lorelai in her 30s and Rory in her teens, their relationship can often feel more sisterly than parental, but Lorelai is trying her best to build boundaries and make sure that Rory is raised to not make the same mistakes she did. But that's hard to do when Lorelai continues to make mistakes. But through both of their drama, mother and daughter always manage to look out for each other.
