In the heart of a New York City crumbling under the weight of financial collapse and escalating crime, a clandestine economy ebbs and flows through the veins of the city - illicit, decadent after-hours clubs known as "speaks." These dens of debauchery, pulsating with danger and desire, are bound by a complex web of taxicabs, forming a glittering, grimy underworld set against the darkened backdrop of the city's decay.
In this twilight world, Renny, a young fashion photographer, navigates the dark labyrinth of the city for the thrill of the party circuit. As a pawn for Reza, the local face of an ambitious international crime syndicate, Renny moves party drugs through the intricate taxi network. But when Reza forces Renny to dive deeper into the treacherous waters of the drug trade, he finds himself ensnared in a perilous game of cat and mouse with his boss and the enigmatic Detective Sixto Santiago.
Santiago, a key player in an experimental NYPD unit using undercover taxis to infiltrate and dismantle the drug trade, is locked in a battle against the tide of crime swallowing the city. His mission takes a twist when he is paired with the brutal and mysterious Everett More, a new arrival whose true identity proves to be as labyrinthine as the city they patrol.
