Plot

In the year 2008, Lucas, a cunning rogue with a knack for swindling affluent cruise ship passengers, breaches an agreement with his old partner in crime, Clayderman. They had vowed never to cross paths on the same ship, yet Lucas finds himself aboard the Sovereign - the very boat where Clayderman is employed as a pianist and public relations liaison. Within the ship's polished halls, he also encounters Verónica, a singer, Clayderman's current love, and Lucas' former flame. Although Lucas attempts to rekindle his relationship with Verónica, his true agenda is to ensnare Antonio, a humble baker turned millionaire lottery winner. Antonio's two avaricious son-in-laws, Ernesto and Fede, ceaselessly pursue his newfound wealth, much to the chagrin of their respective wives, Chusa and Alicia. Amidst this chaos, Antonio finds solace in the company of the sophisticated Carmen. As the voyage continues, Clayderman uncovers Lucas' presence on the ship and starts tailing him, suspicious of Lucas' intentions towards Verónica and a potential plot to seize a significant sum of money. Simultaneously, Verónica grows weary of Clayderman's possessiveness and Lucas' dubious behavior, as well as her part in deceiving the ship's unsuspecting couples. Meanwhile, Lucas cunningly befriends Antonio, posing as a desperate father with a gravely ill daughter. As Clayderman unravels Lucas' true target, Antonio's fortune, he devises his own scheme to snatch the money. Unbeknownst to him, Verónica too, hatches a plan involving her dancer friend, Brendon, to get close to Leticia, Antonio's eldest daughter. However, as their intricate plots intertwine and unravel, they soon realize that their greed-fueled endeavors will have unforeseen repercussions. They are forced to discover, albeit the hard way, that some things are indeed more valuable than money.
