Though cheered on by his childhood bestie, Ellie, down and out singer-songwriter, Jack Malik is spinning his wheels trying to locate some kind of success in the small English seaside town in which he lives. But chance arrives suddenly and violently as a bus accident and a global blackout simultaneously and magically combine to give Jack a leg up on the competition by making him the only person who remembers the Beatles.
